Assunpink Greenway Mulberry Street

Location: Mulberry Street at Nottingham Way

Facilities: partially landscaped, the balance of this park is in the design phase.

This portion of the Greenway lies adjacent to the Clinton Commerce site and across the street from Red Oaks Park.
Formerly the site of approximately two dozen homes and an automobile salvage yard, the sites have been acquired, cleared and are ready for park development. Initial landscape improvements have been installed on the former residential lots. The automobile salvage yard (formerly Scarpatti’s) has been cleared of buildings and debris, the environmental issues have been addressed and the site is top-soiled and seeded. Once completed, this site will serve as a park gateway and will provide access to the creek bank and connection to the greenway trail.

The homes located at this site were subject to repeated flooding and were acquired with FEMA funding. All of the home owners received funds to cover the purchase of a new home as well as the associated relocation costs.
