Location: North Clinton Avenue at Lawrence Street. Approximate Size: 5.74 acres Facilities: Dedicated in the mid-thirties this park is enhanced by its’ proximity to the Assunpink Creek, and houses a playground as well as extensive open lawn and several ‘historic’ markers dedicated to war veterans. A pedestrianbridge across the Assunpink Creek provides access to Hetzel Field and the active recreation facilities there. This park lies between the recently created open space at Lawrence Street (the Crescent Wire site) and the Clinton Commerce site, currently under renovation development. These parcels will be redeveloped as one continuous open space and will provide numerous recreational opportunities when completed. A renovation plan for George Page Park is currently being developed and when completed with funding from the NJDEP – Green Acres Program, and when completed will provide a substantially improved playground, ornamental lighting, improved access within the park and to adjacent parcels and a plaza space overlooking the creek.
